Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing the Digital Marketing strategy and executing initiatives to support growth of the Company. This role will drive key campaigns and has digital marketing experience in and has an aptitude for data analytics.

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be based in Sydney HQ and reports to the Sales and Marketing Director.

This role requires someone with creativity, strong problem solving ability, passion and experience with managing digital marketing processes.

You are digitally savvy, ideally will have some experience in marketing or a related field and have a desire to actively develop your capability.

Key Responsibilities

CRM System
  • Develop and manage the use of our CRM System Zoho
  • Understand and assist with the setup and development of the different modules of our CRM system; Campaigns, Surveys, Socials, Subscriptions, Help desk and Marketing Hub
  • Set up and management of autoresponders and other automated messaging within the CRM system
Agency Management
  • Liaise directly with partners across sales and marketing functions (socials, marketing, advertising, public relations) to coordinate and execute the Sales and Marketing Strategy
  • Assist with managing the relationships with our Socials Agency and Ad Agency
  • Working closely with these agency partners to coordinate and assess their programs of work
  • Work with agencies on Social media and Google Adsense paid campaigns and their tracking and reporting
  • Assist in identifying new channels of digital acquisition and implementing channel specific campaigns and reporting on their success
  • Daily management and optimisation of digital campaigns directly within media buying platforms
  • Assist with writing copy and selecting campaign specific imagery for ad creative
Conversion Rate Optimization
  • A/B testing of landing pages and ad creative to build a foundation of continual testing and improvement
  • Building conversion focussed campaign landing pages
  • Ensure effective ROI for all Digital Marketing initiatives
Reporting and Tracking
  • Implementation, management and quality control of tags and tracking for existing and new media campaigns
  • Manage our Google Analytics and develop reporting for key stakeholders
  • Identify and implement improvements to our website tracking
  • Building dashboards for internal stakeholders and streamlined reporting
  • Management of reporting for all campaigns
Budget Management
  • Management of budgets, forecasts and pacing of spend
  • Working with finance to ensure all invoices are accounted for
Stakeholder Management
  • Managing relationships with a broad range of internal stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of digital marketing experience, especially SEM/SEO, and also including display, social media, or promotions
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to analyse campaign and program performance and report results to leadership
  • Google Ads & Analytics certified
  • Zoho CRM, Campaigns & Sales IQ experience
  • Retail and omni-channel experience
  • UI/UX design skills/knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience owning marketing programs all-up (in addition to the campaign testing), from ideation through execution, optimizing results over time and reporting on progress to leadership
  • Project management skills and experience, including managing internal stakeholders and multiple campaigns and projects at once
  • Bachelor’s degree
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning and executing a Digital Marketing strategy producing measurable results.
  • Knowledge in key areas of Digital Marketing such as SEM, PPC, EDM, Content Marketing, Lead Generation.
  • Strong results-driven ROI and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to present data in a concise and visual manner.
  • Hands-on technical knowledge and experience in a range of web-based tools such as:
    • Google Adwords
    • Google Analytics - must be an expert in generating custom reports & implementing campaign tracking
    • Google Search Console
    • HTML - you must know how to code efficient and effective email templates
    • Experienced at running paid social media campaigns


  • Minimum 3+ years experience in digital marketing with hands on in-platform media buying experience
  • Experience managing non-traditional performance campaigns
  • Deep understanding of social media, display and native advertising
  • Experience using Google Analytics or other campaign reporting tools
  • Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to develop detailed campaign performance reports
  • An understanding of conversion rate optimisation and the role this plays in effective performance marketing
  • Strong budget management experience
  • Experience working in the financial services or other highly regulated serves advantageous

Data Engineer

  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of the core platform: a distributed, multi-tier web application.
  • Designing and implementing data models, sourcing information from APIs and 3rd party integrations.
  • Designing and enhancing a bespoke metadata supply chain.
  • Working on performing advanced entity recognition using everything from perfect identifiers to conceptualising and developing complex inferred data matching.

Basic Qualifications

Data Analyst Points
  • 5+ years’ experience with PostgreSQL (or equivalent)
    • Experience troubleshooting/resolving database integrity, performance, and replication issues
    • Experience with query optimisation and performance tuning
    • Experience with bulk data importing, transformation and enrichment
  • Experience documenting of database structures and maintaining descriptions on all relevant fields in database
    • Experience in making architecture recommendations to ensure optimal performance
Operational Points
  • Unix environments. You will need to know your away around a Unix box. We use Macs for development and deploy on Linux servers
  • Experience in Amazon AWS a must - we are on the cutting edge of solution architecture, and constantly looking at what new AWS products are available to streamline our workflow.
    • RDS and relational DBs, are a bonus
    • Working with Amazon S3 lambdas, SQS and step functions, are a bonus
  • Experience planning work for a team and co-ordinating with project managers and other team members,
  • Experience in versioning and rollout and rollback plans.
  • 3+ years of Java. We're a Grails shop, so Java is essential. You can learn Grails quickly.
Systems Architect Skills
  • Experience in keeping data secure, safe and compliant with privacy standards.
  • Experience in creating performative solutions and optimising for speed.
  • An ability to evaluate new products and services and assess their utility in solving challenges.
  • An understanding of cross-regional infrastructure replication.
Scientist points
  • Strong skills in the following scripting languages used in analysis:
    • Python (experience is using Jupyter Notebook and libraries such as pandas and Numpy are a plus
    • R (a plus, we use Python)
  • Experience in entity recognition, proximity scoring or deduplication and linking processes
  • Analytical algorithm skills

Integration Engineer

  • Working in a tightly-knit, fast moving agile product team of both front and backend developers, designers, data scientists and database analysts.
  • Help to scope and maintain the ETL process for Jaxsta as we head towards greater automation.
  • Build and maintain data loading and integration for production systems using ETL tools.
  • Handling inbound/outbound documents, conducting auditing, handling relevant documents, and networking with partners.
  • Serving as the initial contact for troubleshooting inquiries.
  • Responding to maintenance issues.
  • Monitoring document transmissions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve relevant processes.
  • Perform audits to ensure quality standards are being met on a regular basis, and keep staff up to date on technology changes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with API based web portals, as well as experience with Big Data, AWS and Ubuntu will be highly regarded for this opportunity.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with ETL or ELT development using languages such as Python, or Java frameworks such as Grails.


  • Computer science degree preferable.
  • Java development experience across Grails or another JVM language.
  • Interest in RedShift, Hadoop or Graph Databases as well as high-performance and scalable data stores.
  • Knowledge of advanced PostgreSQL modules such as pg_trgm, ltree, etc.
